Our Story
Hi! My name is Colleen Shefferly, and along with my husband Armand Ruda we are the proud owners of Royal Paws. Collectively, we have over 50 years’ business experience. Along with our love for animals, we have joined with some of the previous employees of this location and hired new people to bring you a staff of respected and loving individuals that are well versed in caring for pets and providing a safe environment while you are away.
We have made many changes. Our Open House will occur as soon as our Boarding Suites are complete. In the meantime, you are welcome to have a sneak peek before the unveiling. Since we are independent owners, we can make changes quickly, and to the best needs of our clients; and will continue to do so.
The team has brought outside professionals to clean and disinfect the area several times, including the air ducts which really needed it 😊 We have cleaned and resealed the floors as well as painted throughout. We have all new kennels and are building new suites so that you know your pet will always be in the cleanest and safest environment. We have put in security and viewing cameras and our IT department is working diligently to make sure that you have access during business hours.
We have all new toys and enrichment activities for both group play outside, and individual learning classes. We will continue to evaluate and enhance your dog’s experiences whenever possible. Our costs are very competitive in the market, and we will grandfather some pricing to former customers until year end. Feel free to discuss pricing direct with our staff after opening.
Royal Paws has purchased a new software system that will expedite your check-in and check-out and provide you with portal access to make all your reservations and payments online. This system is preferred by most professionals in the industry and will provide ease and convenience to both pet parents and our personnel.
Finally, along with the concern for our customers (both pets and pet parents), we have also taken the time to listen to the needs of our employees. We hope that the changes we have made will reflect in the care and consideration you receive. And we truly hope that our team of employees will be happy and long-term care givers at this facility.
